about

With over 400 songs signed to major publishers, and multiple Film & TV placements, Richard Dance and Chuck Hall decided to team up as The Jethrosexuals to make some savory musical statements in their Soul Elements catalog.

Melodies and arrangements are dripping with groove and emotion, and echo classic studio bands like The Wrecking Crew, Booker T & The MG's, The Funk Brothers, and The Muscle Shoals Swampers, fresh for the present day. Lyrics are universal and themed. Song styles range from Otis Redding, Curtis Mayfield, and Sly Stone, to Robert Cray, Prince, Steely Dan, and Quincy Jones.

All songs have desirable edit points & endings for film/TV use. They also serve as strong frameworks for contemporary artists looking for hit song material, a la Pharrell, Bruno Mars, Ed Sheeran, and Mayer Hawthorne.
